Wimbledon tickets aren't cheap from what I heard. Not saying that us blacks can't afford it, but I believe they only sell tickets in packages. @
Liu Kang may know how that works tho, but I do get what cha saying as far as support
In France, if you're registered in a tennis club, there are reserved tickets for you because you are part of the Tennis Federation (you have tennis license) : you can buy them before the public opening (1 month before I think). If you forget, then, it's like everybody else, you gotta struggle when the public sale is opened.
There are differents tickets (and you can only buy 4 max in your name) :
- Chatrier tickets (grant you the entrance on the Chatrier + every other courts but the Lenglen court and court # 1) : the most expensive ones (more than 45€ each).
- Lenglen tickets (grant you the entrance on the Lenglen + every other courts but the Chatrier court and court # 1)
- Court # 1 tickets (grant you the entrance on the Chatrier + every other courts but the Chatrier and Lenglen courts)
- Normal tickets (grant you the entrance on all the courts but (obviously) the Chatrier, Lenglen courts and court
#1 ) : the cheapest tickets (26€ each if I recall right)
Obviously, the price for the main courts increases with the proximity of the final.
The price I gave above were 1st week prices. First week is when you want to go if you're a tennis fan.
I took the normal tickets because it was the first week and I knew I would be able to see some names on less important courts (I could have seen Haas or Verdasco but court
#2 and court
#3 were full almost all the time and the queue to enter was way too long). You can also buy those tickets in the second week but you will most likely watch the Legends Trophy, Doubles or Juniors
