Sinner Accepts 3 Month Ban

Gonna miss the Sunshine Double but be back for Roland Garros

Right move IMO; We all saw how they screwed Simona Halep, and if they let Iga sit for just a few months no reason they shouldn't do the same for Jannik

Halep appealed and got 9 months and some court costs, not the 4 years she was looking at initially which was crazy asf.

Seems like if players appeal asap they get way lighter bans then if they don't.

Absolutely the right move for him. Everything was heading in the direction of him having to sit for at least a year.

Which would have been the just result

3 month ban missing no slams is a pathetic punishment, this early success is tainted IMO

The way its all been handled is suspect AF

They banned Sinner right after Hard Court season lol

Money talks, and Sinner on hard courts generates alot of revenue. If he ends up missing the French Open, it is what it is

If you say the handling was suspect fair enough, but saying Sinner's success is tainted due to trace amounts w/a plausible explanation is wild

Whoever would've won in New York if Sinner was out suspended would've had a much bigger asterisk on their win

Yeah, its tainted because he should have missed time duing this ascent

It's not wild at all breh, and no whoever won woulnd't have a bigger asterisk than the guy who failed two doping tests

Miss me with that

“WADA accepts the athlete’s explanation for the cause of the violation as outlined in the first instance decision,” a statement read. “WADA accepts that Mr. Sinner did not intend to cheat, and that his exposure to clostebol did not provide any performance-enhancing benefit and took place without his knowledge as the result of negligence of members of his entourage.

Seems pretty cut and dry to me.

I don't think it is and neither do other players

It'll always be on his name and sets a bad precedent
Just because other players got hosed by bullshyt suspensions doesn't mean that's how it should always be and never change. This is the first step towards correcting things.

Nobody was under more scrutiny in the last two Slams and he cruised through both. It's over.

It ain't correcting shyt and the feelings from players within the game shows that

If you're fan of his cool, I liked him before this too but like I said it taints his achievements

I don't really care about whether he was under more scrutiny or not, that's not what's being debated
