Fritz took the second. This is turning into a grueling match. Almost two and a half hours for two sets.

Finally Fritz got some sense knocked into him in the 2nd set. When you play an elite ground strokes player on top of an all time return game in Djokovic, do not play his game
Fritz trying to hard to "keep balls in play". Trying to drop shot a return on every play lol

But the 2nd set he finally started hitting the ball flat and deep, letting off on his forehead, big serves, etc etc. Bring that heat to Joker so he can't return everything

Am I trippin or does Rublev win this? They keep havin Sinner as one of the top faves and he consistently chokes. Reminds me of shytsipas from years back.

They keep puttin him in category of Alcaraz, Med, Zverev... He is more like Fritz, shytsipas, Shapo IMO.

In my opinion sinner is a clear cut above those guys you mentioned he was playing like the 2nd best player on tour at the back end of the season , top3/4 all year last year. One of the few guys who doesn’t wilt at the presences of Novak. Expect him to take home a slam this year, might even be this one.

I wish I woulda seen this earlier. Rublev is this generation David Ferrer. He doesn't have the talent to beat folks who have a talent advantage over him in a GS unless they're not playing their A game.

Here's the thing, even if he does come back to beat Sinner, he's not beating Nole. Hell he won't take a set off him. I like Rublev, I really do, but he's the pure definition that would need someone else to take out the Alcaraz, Med, Sinner, Nole for him in order for him to win a GS. He's not talented enough to do the hard work himself.

Honestly he looks a different player this year with more confidence. He has a better head to head with Alcaraz now.

Sinner has shown he is becoming a different beast, 2nd half of the season and the Masters win were huge for his development.

He is one of not even a handful of players who can go into a match against Alcaraz and feel confident of beating him, the way he defeated Medvedev three times in a row last year was a real turning point for him.

He isn't like Tsitsipas, Shapo or Fritz. He's the real deal.

Hurkacz actually has a winning record against Medvedev for his career. That's shocking to me.
