One of the most one-sided 5 set matches... Not once was Roger better than Murray and he still took him 5. Not once did I think the outcome was in doubt.

Solid serving from Murray, despite choking in key moments. Novak vs Andy will be guaranteed a slugfest to the very end. Novak in 5.

Lol true.

One of the most anti climatic 5 setters.

Probably a few hours. Head says I got that Murray future and will be hedging with Joker :russ:

I want a 5 set 6 hour final.

I'm not as well versed in the finer details of Tennis as some of you are. Does fatigue play a part in these high end matches as the Final is on Sunday?

Will Murray's five-setter hurt today after Nole's stroll the day prior?

It won't play a factor in this match because Murray is extremely fit and this 5 set match he played against Federer wasn't really grueling and he was always in control.

Yeah. Murray and Djokovic are the two fittest in the game. Should be a great match.

:whoa:
He had some genious strokes, notably with his backhand which sometimes left Murray 5 meters far but Fed is on a -relative- decline and can't keep that kind of brillance during 5 sets unfortunately. Above all with those fitness monsters who are Djokovic, Nadal and now Murray who are also incredible players.

There is that and I think his volley game that wasn't even average in that match. Watching it, I sometimes thought that he came to the net because it was logical to go there not because it was the best way to win the point. There were some passing shots by Scotland's finest that was "easy" to get and Fed didn't even try...

He's still the GOAT at tie-breaks though : none lost during this OA :whew:
I think every ATP players are scared to play a TB against Fed because he's so clutch in this :ohlawd:.

Stealin that Fed smiley :shaq:

And its crazy that up to a year ago, there was question marks over his fitness , in matches over 3 hours
When ? :leon:

I remember him beating Gasquet in 5 setters at Wimby in 2008 and RG in 2010 (well Gasquet was fried at RG because of his Nice victory but Murray did hold on). He beat Troicki in RG 2011 (not sure) in a 5 setter where there were a ballboy problem at some moment.
Plus, last year he only lost to Nole 5/7 in the last set of the semi.

I think it's already been a couple of years that Murray is one of the fittest in the game IMO. I don't know when but there was a photo of him bare chest and super built that was around in 2009 or 2010. I think it's since then that he began to be a "fitter" player and really taking this factor into account.

Its more to do with his endurance in the past not being up to peak with the other 3. Hes always been fit, but always struggled to do b2b long matches or once he came up vs the Top 4 in the latter stages of GS's he wasnt fit enough and would be good for 3 sets but then come sets 4 & 5 he didnt have enough in the tank to pull thru and would fade.
