true. As usual, it’s gonna come down to who falls on what side of the draw.

"I'm not 100 percent sure if I'm going to go there [to Wimbledon]," Osaka said. "I would love to go just to get some experience on the grass court, but, like at the same time for me, it's kind of like -- I don't want to say pointless, no pun intended, but I'm the type of player that gets motivated by, like, seeing my ranking go up or like, you know, stuff like that. So I think the intention was really good, but the execution is kind of all over the place."
When later asked more on what her thoughts were ahead of Wimbledon, she said, "Yeah, like for me, I'm not sure why but, like, I feel like if I play Wimbledon without points, it's more like an exhibition. I know this isn't true, right? But my brain just like feels that way. Whenever I think like something is like an exhibition, I just can't go at it 100 percent. I didn't even make my decision yet, but I'm leaning more towards not playing given the current circumstances but, you know, that might change."
Women's game is such a mess. Defending champ out in the first round, though she was coming off an injury.
That bozo Osaka lost in straights and is probably gonna skip Wimbledon.
Just retire already.
If I'm seeing this draw right, Joker and Nadal would play in the Quarters and the winner would likely get Alcaraz in the semis.
The bottom half of the bracket should be Sissy Pants but I wouldn't bet on him again until he proves it.
The top half of the bracket looks a lot tougher than the bottom.
Carlos' best bet is a five-setter between those two and the winner gets worn down.yea I'm sure whoever put together the draw is mad that Joker/Rafa/Alcaraz aren't going to meet up in the final
also Novak has taken his game up another level since the L to Carlos in Madrid...you can tell that jolt he's been missing was given to him by Alcaraz
he's way more aggressive right now rather than just playing rock solid and waiting on opponents' mistakes
Don't think she's committed to the sport really. Feel like she's only sticking it out for the endorsements.Women's game is such a mess. Defending champ out in the first round, though she was coming off an injury.

So those checks from Wimbledon won't cash? She was always gonna lose today. Anisimova is a much better player right now, especially on clay.
And since they stripped ranking points from Wimbledon, I can hardly blame her for thinking about skipping it. It'll basically be a glorified exhibition tournament. Unless you win it's a giant waste of time.
So those checks from Wimbledon won't cash?
That's not what her play suggests.Bro she's the last women's player worried about money. She'll make that money during those 2 weeks doing endorsements easy. Her worry now is climbing back up the rankings.
That's not what her play suggests.
I'm not even defending her as someone who thinks she'll be a top 5 player again. She's an elite hard court player when she's in form. But she'll never challenge on clay or grass. She can't move well enough, and that'snot changing since she's already 25. Even before the mental health breakdowns I was saying this.
