Uncertain grounds
This is what I never understood :mindblown:

just too passive on the court. if you have a serve that intimidating, your whole play style should be intimidating. he would whip that serve, and generally, if it wasnt an ace, he would tend to fall back into generic rallies with his opponent. his coach is either garbage or he just never had the killer instinct.

i won my high school state tournament in doubles my junior year as the 11 seed. we beat the 1, 2 and 3 seeds en route to win. the main reason why was because id be whipping serves at 120 and didnt get broken once all tournament. but i wouldnt just chill back at the baseline and rally. i would aim for the body of the player at net and try to hit him as hard as i could. id hit overheads over the fence any time i got a lob. and, i would aim my serve at the guy at net if they played the I formation strategy against me to discourage that tactic. sure doubles is different, but i played singles the whole year for my team and employed many of the same tactics. roddikk just never had it in him to get all the way to the top.

i feel bad for roddikk. never maximized his potential, imo. to serve the ball so hard and have decent strokes, yet only win one slam, is a shame.

Atleast he was lucky enough to win one before Fed and Nadal started to put that work in. Much like Hewitt did, got in and out once Agassi & Pete were at the tail ends of their careers

Called Berdych beating him, dunno if it was on here I posted on it.

All I really wanted for Andy, looking back, was that 2009 Wimbledon. Would've made his career, but nothing but bitterness since then.
