I've been intrigued by Drive Rush since I first saw it but I couldn't put my finger on why but now I see it
At first glance it just looks like FADC but it's more that that. Drive Rush is Hakan's oil state
Hakan with oil slid with any forward movement and could cancel his dashes with normals at any point. Drive Rush is the exact same way
When a drive rush is activated you can see the character slide off momentum based on whenever they press a button during the green paint
