First is regular Contenders, the original. Second is Optic but a Blue Prizm so it's numbered to /75. Last one is standard Optic.

Ah, got it. I think I have the second Herbert card, but it's a PSA 9, not a ten.
Are regular Contenders numbered at all?
Certain ones. Pretty sure Cracked Ice and Championship Ticket ones are.

I want to put a bid in on the Hurts card, but I'm sure I would be outbid if I put in an offer, even up to $3,000. I think I'm going to hold off unless I can get it for $2,500.

Personally, without getting into too much detail, I would not have been able to spend the money I've spent this year on cards if I didn't have things go upwards with my crypto this past year.
My biggest mistake/regret so far is buying those two trash ass boxes of Contenders and doing too many box breaks.

I didn't 'bid until the last three seconds, and it was somewhat of an impulse buy. However, that is about the same price as I paid for my Herbert Blue Prizm PSA 9.

Well, I'll hope for the best. It was an amount I was willing to pay, with what I believe can be some serious upside.
.Looking at other rookie QB's Contenders cards in recent memory, I don't think I got killed on it. Anything can happen, but I'd rather pay what I paid there for him and his upside than pay for a Herbert or Burrow right now.

If I'm going to hold it medium/long term, and it's going to 2x, then I'm fine "overpaying" right now. I'd rather overpay by $500 or so now and have the card, than kick myself for not doing it years down the road. If Hurts turns out to be terrible, then all I did was spend $500 more than I "should" have. However, if he becomes a star, then that $500 is minimal in the grand scheme of things..

I remember posting a card three or four months ago, and someone said it wasn't his "real" rookie card. I believe this is the card I posted. I remember posting a card of Kyler and I thought @Regular_P said this wasn't a real rookie card or something like that. Does that sound familiar, and is this the same type of card as that Hurts one I bought?

For modern cards, there's generally a "RC" logo on the "true" rookie card.
Even without that, something like that NT card could be distinguished because of the numbering. Instead of a regular number like 53 or something, it's numbered "RMS-KM," which is a clear indicator of it being some type of insert.
