I think I'll send in that Mahomes card, even though I'm prepared to be extremely disappointed with the grade it will likely receive.

@Regular_P @Codeine Bryant

What should I put for that card for "Declared Value"? Express or Super Express? I'd rather not wait for value, economy, and regular orders to open up, so I have no problem sending my card in now.

This is the card:

@BucciMane A 2019 Select Mahomes Gold /10 PSA 10 went for 4350 a few days ago.

I don't think yours is a 10 based on the top-bottom centering and how particular PSA has gotten recently.

I think Express with 2499 valuation is fine.
If you want it done faster, the Super Express is also fine. $100 more for Super, but when I used it earlier this year, they logged, graded, slabbed and sealed it for me all in one day.

And it was Gem :banderas:

@Regular_P How do you feel about thick cards. Specifically RPA type cards, but even Flawless, NT, Immacculate autos and materials as well. They all seem to get slabbed by BGS.

Even though it seems like every standard cut card goes to PSA these days, the thicc bytches still go to BGS.

For example, my 18 impeccable RPA, 2 have been graded by PSA. Meanwhile 18 have been graded by BGS. It's /25, fwiw.

I'm in the process of subbing another moderate-high value RPA, and I'm deciding between PSA and BGS. PSA has no pop for this /25 RPA. BGS has pop 7.
I think I'll just end up subbing to PSA, just because I like how clean and standard their slab is :yeshrug:

Thanks. Same thing @Regular_P was saying with the centering, but it is what it is. I would not have a problem spending a little extra to get the card back quicker. At the end of the day, if the card can net me at least $1,500, then I really don't care too much about spending the extra $100 if I get it back quicker.

With the way things are now with the grading, if I did the Super Express, do you think I would have the card back within one month?

@BucciMane I remember you tagged me a while back about my thoughts about PWCC vault. I just remembered I never got back to you on that.

I like it a lot. They just launched their app a couple weeks ago, works pretty well. Sleek presentation and curated portfolio.
I got in during the March promo where they took in, appraised, cataloged, and insured everything for free. I'm 100% satisfied so far with everything. I've sent a couple eBay purchases directly to the vault and that was seamless as well.

They have a similar promo running right now until September. Every sub is free.
I still have a few high value cards on me, due to sentimental value and wanting to retain at least some of my hobby for display purposes. But it definitely gives me peace of mind knowing that it's all insured and appraised in a vault, ready to be listed at any time. Plus, them listing it as a consigner will get a ton more eyes on it than if I was selling anything by myself.

Everything I've submitted to my vault is still there. I haven't sold anything. I have a friend who's sold almost a quarter mil through PWCC. He hasn't had a single issue. He's the one who really urged me to utilize the vault in March.

All that being said, nothing wrong with keeping your collection on you. Just be safe and smart.

Also, I asked @Regular_P this question and he recommended I reach out to this guy on Instagram, but how do you send in cards like a Flawless that are already slabbed?
Without breaking the Panini factory seal you mean?

I believe you can send a factory sealed card to PSA and they will crack seal and slab it themselves. You used to be able to min grade it as well, where they wouldn't crack a seal if they examined it from the outside and determined it didn't meet your min grade. But min grade is no longer available at PSA, so this might no longer be an option.

Both of the Panini factory sealed cards I've subbed, I personally cracked the seal myself so I could clean the card and then subbed it.

I don't know about BGS's intake process, so I'm not sure how they treat factory sealed One-Touch subs.

Not 100% sure on the difference, but something like this:

I definitely need to look more into that. It will likely make sense for me to do as I start to purchase more and more cards, and higher value cards. I don't know what my card collection value is at right now, but I'm going to guess around $25,000 with the Mahomes being worth $2,000 possibly? I think if I got to twice that value, which I believe I will be at by December, then I would open an account with them.
