South Florida brehs me and my business partner is putting together a weeklong event that's taking place during Fort Lauderdale Art & Design Week January 17th-26th. The event is called "The Sistrunk-A-Fair" the goal is to create an art destination for those that enjoy cultural art in Broward as well as creating a platform for Black Artists in Broward county.

January 17th is the kickoff, my art exhibit will be at Old Dillard Museum( The first black high school in Broward County). The exhibit is called "B.A.S.E."(Broward's Artistry N Soul Experience) this exhibit will feature local black artists from Broward County paying homage to Broward county through art. Walking into Old Dillard museum you'll see canvas paintings of Esther Rolle, James Sistrunk, Kodak Black, Leola Collins and more. This exhibit will be from 5pm-8pm

January 18th at the African American Research Library is "We Love Art Too" an exhibit curated by ArtNSoul. This exhibit will feature local black artists from Broward, artists from Africa and two Afro Latin artists. This exhibit will be from 4-6 P.M.

On the same day from 6-8pm at the Midtown Art Gallery on Sistrunk Blvd is "C.R.E.A.T.E" (Cultural Renaissance Establishes A Tactical Evolution) this exhibit will highlight local black artists from South Florida (WPB, Broward and Dade County)

The 19th-21st is the community clean up day.

January 22nd is "What's the 411 in the community" at the African American Research Library auditorium. This event will feature a pioneer from each historic black community in Broward (Pompano, Deerfield, Sistrunk, Danie, Liberia, Harlem McBride, Hallandale and Carver Ranches) as they speak on their communities past and where things is going with all the redevelopment happening.

Also on January 22nd is the youth art workshop at Old Dillard museum from 1pm-4pm.

I have no clue how KOD got shut down. I thought they were making money hand over fist. Maybe it'll go back to being a Costco like it used to be?:troll:

Sidenote: I'm a youngin (just turned 20) and grew up kinda coddled so I ain't never really peeped it. I was leaving the Gunna concert on Miami Beach at like 1AM coming down 79th Street past the bridge in the Uber. Looking around the scenery, I realized one thing: When did 79th become a haven for trannies?:gucci: It was mad 5'11 nikkas in wigs & makeup with ass shots
79th been that way forever breh :mjlol:

@Meh Yeah I was at Arts Africa in 2018 and I went to my boy Keon spot at the urban in Overtown. Broward is so fragmented in the art scene compared to WPB and Dade. We have the talent but we're so fragmented. I'm working on changing that though

Anyone been to MIA brewery in Doral or know what's good out there in Doral? Saw that spot and don't really know what's good out there other than dolphin mall. Any bar hopping out there?
