COLI FAM I'M REPORTING TO YOU LIVE FROM LAS VEGAS! I'm definitely in Sin City for the first time and thus far to be honest it's been a little underwhelming. But I think I came in with grandiose ideas of what Vegas is lol. But so far the trips been pretty good. I'm just eager to see this fight! I attended the weigh in Friday afternoon and it was great! Pro-Ward crowd and both men were in sensational shape. I was able to talk to Andre Berto, Jessie Vargas, and Teddy Atlas thus far. I also met a great group of Kovalev supporters from Russia, one of which is childhood friends with Kovalev's manager. He welcomed me (since my name is Vladimir maybe?) into their fold and told me he'd let me know tomorrow where Kovalev's after party will be. So hopefully I can be in the mix.

One of the most surprising things has definitely been that a lot of people from Vegas didn't even know their was a fight this weekend! And it just speaks to my main gripe with the sport- the most significant fights don't get made often and when they do, mainstream attention is garnered. I literally had to explain the significance of this bout to almost a dozen people who had no clue who either fighter was. That's horrible.

One thing that has thoroughly increased my anticipation in the fight is betting on the odds. I've never bet on a fight via a sports book and it was thrilling to do so. Of course it'll be A LOT more thrilling if I win the money lol. Kovalev is listed as the underdog and it surprised me. I've only bet $50 but I stand to make around $400 potentially if the KRUSHER does his duty. But considering the odds on a Ward KO are 6 to 1, I may throw some money on that as well. Trump became president so anything is possible right?

:ehh:

Enjoy breh.
I've been to Vegas a few times, although I didn't go for the 1st time until I was over 30.
I feel like Vegas is a city people should go to when they're in their early 20s....wild out and leave quickly.
My experiences there were more . Like the whoredom is on another level. Plus if you drive away from the strip, there are a lot of broke ass degenerate drug addicts.

There are some nice things to do for older people and families though, to be fair. :ld:

Sounds like you are having a great time being around all those boxing personalities. :salute:

Someone school me on this line of glove.

Are they equal to the MX gloves Floyd is terrified of?

Edit:

The Elite Pro Fight glove has a revolutionary design that incorporates a new anatomically shaped shell, which promotes natural range of motion and optimal fist placement. The cutting edge one-piece design was engineered to act like a natural extension of your hand for a “second skin” fit while strategically placed perforations provide cross ventilation to keep your hands cool. Made in Mexico with high quality blended foam and quilted horsehair:whoo:. The Elite Pro Fight glove is a modern, next generation take on the traditional Mexican fight glove. Available in 8 OZ and 10 OZ sizes.

You're in LV in November. Not exactly tourist season so of course it'll be underwhelming.

I'm rooting for Andre Ward.

But I'm a bit torn because if Andre wins unanimously, I'm not sure it will be a very exciting fight.
I'm hoping for a split decision Ward victory.

Like, you want certain guys to win in these PPV events but at the same time you want a good show. That's really all I'm trying to say. I don't want to see a Mayweather-like destruction where you feel like 1 man doesn't belong in the same ring as the other guy.

i think it will end a decision...if i was going to bet on the over/under it would be because of the guy who ko'ed 2 notable top light heavies who had never been stopped before

what odds did you see for over/ under 11.5 ?

5 dimes has o9½ -265

A local bookie has
OVR RDS (KOVALEV/WARD) o11½-200
