Honestly building this around the guys they did, other than Neville, was too much to ask. Have guys who ARE over, or can GET over build them up. TJP and them, other than tozawa, just wasn't built for it. Enzo proved that the label 205 isn't the problem. Systematic issues like the timeslot of the show aside, it can still work imo

Wcw crusierweight division was some of their best writing and angles because it was isolated but treated like a real division. Same with early tna x division from like 04-09
Also maybe give some of the more talented guys who are clearly cruiserweights maybe he's or storylines on their everyonce in a while

Finn balor on 205 live as a good cruiserweight champ for a while adds to the credibility for the brand. They would likely never do it but it'd give him range to be the only man in wwe currently to be cruiserweigt champ and wwe universally champ

As far as Ricochet, he's gonna do really good in WWE as long as he doesn't get injured. He'll get an Evan Bourne push and he's gonna do a much better job at taking advantage of it.

Vince doesn't bring these super over talents in from other promotions because he has some incredible ideas for them - it's just so other promotions can't use them. It's a sound business strategy, I guess, but a shytty creative one.

Never thought I'd big up the business acumen of a dude who shoots brehs with fireworks, wrestles sex dolls and does Apartment Complex matches, but Kota Ibushi was smart as fukk to tell Cokeboy to kick rocks. Both him and ZSJ are better off one year after the CWC than they would if they'd signed.
