Been trying to get through BOLA for 2 weeks

Forgot how exhausting PWG shows are

Literally took me 2 weeks to watch BOLA and here are some thoughts since it was a lot of guys I have little exposure to and haven't followed pwg in years.

1. God damn I know it's their thing but PWG shows are so exhausting. Every match is a never ending spot fest of crazy spots and kick outs all night long. 3 shows in a row is brutal.

2. Walter is fukking mean. Just a mean man baby. Luckily he hits people really hard in places where it is pretty safe to do so, so he shouldn't be toned down for NXT.

3. The lucha guys were hit and miss to me. I know Bandido has a lot of buzz but the other guys sucked and everyone looks lower class on the same cards as Fenix. Fenix is the only dude in wrestling who no matter what show he's on, what company he's working for, every time I see him he does some full on shyt

4. Joey Janella is absolute garbage. How the fukk does he have a "name" and why does anyone book this sack of shyt? Dude is just the worst. Terrible look (fetal alcohol face, disgusting long ratty hair that he's constantly messing with, shytty looking gear, the cheapest wrestling shoes you can get on Amazon, a body that has no doubt never lifted a weight, also no doubt a terrible diet), terrible mechanics, terrible "gimmick". Just fukking awful.

5. Darby Allen seems to have improved a lot since I last saw him on some random Evolve show idk 2 years ago. He reminds me of a junior Dean Ambrose, which isn't exactly a good thing.

6. TRT Jody Fleisch still having knees in 2018

7. By the time the 10 man tag popped up, I literally didn't even recognize half the BOLA field that I had already seen. A lot of those dudes left zero impression whatsoever.

8. The shows have a different vibe since switching venues, and I don't remember Excalibur being such a straight play by play guy....and squeally.

9. The Rascalz vs LAX vs Lucha Bros surely is going to happen in TNA and it will be

I dont think anyone will ever consider Janela as "good". Him and his girlfriend, who is equally as terrible but at least hot, is booked everywhere because he is somehow living off of the buzz of being thrown from a roof by Zandig 3 or 4 years ago. That being said, he books one hell of a fun to watch show though.

Darby... yeah I see the Dean comparison but he has more upside as a babyface. He has that Gargano babyface kind of vibe to his big matches (especially the EVOLVE match with WALTER). His moveset is entirely too indy though. I like him but he needs polish

I didn't get a Gargano vibe at all from him, but I've only seen probably 3-4 matches of his. The last match I saw before BOLA 2018 was on some dead a dirt Evolve show where his entire existence seemed to be taking huge bumps to get any kind of buzz going and that's all he could do.
