If you are the kind of person to ask is it worth it no it isn't. The type of people that do these sorts of things don't ask questions like is it worth it.
Every year a new phone comes out with better features than the one you have. Is it worth buying a new phone every year to get the latest version? No. Do people do it? Yeah a lot of people do.
True. At least personally I would likely never get a new one if at some point previous phone iterations didn't become unusable after a certain point to essentially force me into an upgrade.
With respect to gaming systems, I typically consider an upgrade not because my previous console performance degrades or becomes unusable but because I like having the most definitive version of the console.
I guess a better question would have been not "is it worth it?" but what features does the Pro offer that add to its value over the base console? since "is it worth it?" means different things to different people. The Pro is "worth it" to me just because I like having the most definitive version of the console (and ultimately why I'll eventually get one). At the moment it doesn't sound like I need to be in a rush to get one (unless the price is about to go up, which according to other threads may be the case)
