The only reason I can think of is if you're playing PS4 games and want to use the back button attachment for the dualshock 4.

Speaking of back buttons, Sony needs to hurry up and drop the Dualsense back buttons

It is useful for PSVR games as far as I can tell. I don't own a PSVR so it is a non-issue. I was just checking because they are getting hard to find recently and prefer a brand new controller, just in case I need one before they are too hard to find.

Playing thru miles morales for the first time I forgot how great Spider-Man was man an hour in and I’m hooked

Miles Morales is still some of the most fun I've had on the PS5, I will work on my backlog a bit and then go back to it for another play through
