not really, if you already use headphones then they are an incredible upgrade, if you don’t already use headphones its not a big deal if you have surround. The 3d audio technology is expanding, it already expanded to tv speakers, it will probably expand to surround sound and sound bar next. It’s pretty cool to experience in games like returnal though, you always know exactly where monsters are coming from. Also, its only 100 bucks, (probably find a good deal on them now) for the 3d pulse headset which is more than enough.
