Got a kid selling a PS4 in my area for 200 bucks. Says that it went into safe mode, he panicked and told his parents it was trashed, they then bought him a new one, only for him to google the issue later and realize it’s fixable. But no longer needs it now because he has a new one.

Sound legit? :lupe:

I googled it myself and it does show a fix for it, but is this something I’ll have to deal with every time I power it on?

He says it’s about a year old with 450gb remaining. Is it worth the risk? :lupe:

How much? Safe mode? :mjlol: Worst case scenario it just needs to be updated with a system update. I don't think you have to constantly deal with safe mode issues.

Was on a Playstation hiatus for over a year until I replaced the fan and it running again, now I’m going through a glorious backlog:blessed:

Finishing up AC: Odyssey and have sunk some time into Horizon Zero Dawn as well. I also copped God of War, Spider-Man GotY Edition, and will grab Last of Us 2:banderas:

It might be my oldest console and loudest appliance in the house but I started this gen on PS4 and it looks like it’s coming full circle here at the end:wow:

Has anyone installed an SSD? I'm just curious about the load time improvement

My cuz has but I would just wait until the PS5 is out breh later this year. It's fast but it's pretty pointless with the PS5 coming out with a SSD that's rumored to be faster than any PC. Unless you don't plan on upgrading but if you cop a SSD get an external one, they're faster than installing one inside the PS4 yourself.

Nah...shud I? I feel a little burnt out of it atm tbh

if you’re burnt out then you should hold off from it imo...it’s more of the exact same...I was into it tho bcuz I wasn’t burnt out from the repetitiveness...I really enjoyed the fighting mechanics...it wasn’t until the 3rd DLC that I started to feel burnt out... @ that point finishing it felt like a chore and the experience wasn’t as fun for me
