If anyone is still looking to upgrade the PS4 HD, this is the cheapest I've seen it. I've been keeping my eye on it, and it's gone from $99 down to $79 in a couple weeks, so I decided to finally cop at that price. It's an external, but the drive inside is the 2TB Spinpoint M9T, so you'll have to open it up and remove the drive. But you can then just put the old PS4 drive in the enclosure and use it as a 500gb external.

Edit
: The Amazon media link wasn't working for me for some reason, so I hotlinked the text above.

Also, download the Playstation App and add the brehs from the first page of this thread (much easier adding nikkaz on the app on your phone)

I think I sold my original PS4 hard drive on eBay the day I got the system cause I pulled it out and put in a 1TB. When the 2TB went down to $89 I got that and put the 1TB in the PS3. Its worth having a 2TB in the PS4 but a 1TB is overkill in the PS3.

Yeah, I put a (I think) 750gb in my PS3 awhile back, and it's definitely more than enough. I have like 30-35 games on there right now, and still have have tons of free space.

I had my eye on that 2gb Spinpoint since it was announced right around the time the PS4 was released, and I'm glad I didn't rush into buying it. $79 for that is a steal, and it's coming at just about the right time, as my current drive is about 1 AAA title from being full.

Remote play improvement

Oh and make sure "use Wi-fi in Power Save Mode" is disabled on the Vita.

Reminder: The setting can be found in "Power save settings" and not under wi-fi. (Also another mini obstacle no small thanks to the UI team.. You're having wi-fi connection problems and the setting is not found under wi-fi..)

Some months ago, I was having problems, wi-fi was constantly disconnecting, the wi-fi quality bar was low even in the same room... And I even made sure the "use Wi-fi in Power Save mode" turned on, hey, I didn't want Wi-fi to turn off when I close the screen or wi-fi was idle. Right? WRONG. I found out that you actually have to turn that off to fix those problems!

On 60 fps remote play thread, Vashetti reminded of this setting and judging by the responses, I'm making a new thread to let people know of this fix. And till this day, I didn't know why that prefrences meant, until Vashetti pointed out why. Damn it Sony, how can anyone having Wi-fi problems actually figure it out to disable that setting? You either document it well on spot or choose a proper title for it. You did neither.

Edit: Be sure to checkout The official Remote Play topic if you still have problems!

Edit 2: Still having problems? Make sure you abide by the remote play link above, and alsoprefer WPA2 that uses AES for encryption over WPA/TKIP. For PSN connection and store problems, manually entering DNS's may help further. The TKIP to AES change helping connections is confirmed also by Luigi87.

So, I used the new "Backup and Restore" feature just introduced in 2.50, and it worked like a charm. Backed up my entire drive, games and all, Sunday night. 368gb, took about 9 hours. Got my 2TB drive in the mail today, installed it in the PS4, got 2.50 installed on it, then restored from my backup. Took about another 9 hours, and after it booted back up, it was like I never left. :blessed:

Put my old PS4 HD into the external enclosure, re-formatted it, and I'm gonna use it to put music on and hook it up to the system. It'd be nice if they enabled DLNA already.
