Props brehs, it seems that not even the fanciest of tvs will provide me with the best playing experience. I've been ignorant for too long.
In the display graph, the majority of the tvs that have excellent and great displays are in the 20ish inch sizes. The go-to 40 inch tvs are barely in that list, with the occasional high-end sony 3D LED..gonna keep my eyes peeled though

If you can afford it that's the best TV on the market to get for gaming. I have it and it's the best TV I've ever owned. The input lag is under 1 frame and the colors on it are the best with the quantum dot display. It's last year's flagship model from Sony. they replaced it this year with a much inferior set.
The supply is drying up on them though. Best Buy pulled it off their website and from time to time Amazon has new ones on there for as low as $1400 or so but it's getting rarer now.
