be sure to drop your thoughts on them after you cop...

NOTE: Only headset comparison I can make is with a $70 pair of Turtle Beaches.

The current reviews out there are pretty spot on, they're light, comfortable while wearing, mic quality is surprisingly good when talking in a natural voice and the sound is pretty good.

I tested them in 2K14 and COD and was more than satisfied with the sound, even the VSS wasn't complete sh*t.

I only charged them for about 35-40 solid minutes on top of the out-of-the-box charge (my understanding is, most electronics are packaged and stored at about 40% charge), I was able to do a full 4 hour and 10 minute game session and still had a couple bars left.

The only real complaints I have at the moment are extra short charging cable but in all honesty a longer one can be purchased and I couldn't find the companion app. The app may not have been released yet though.

Overall, definitely worth the $100.

so is this thing worth copping yet? is that new metal gear supposed to be an AAA title?

yet? it's been worth copping....

as for the new metal gear: if you talking about 'ground zeroes', no it's not an AAA title...it's like the prelude to the real game, 'phantom pain', that's coming either later this year or early next year....'phantom pain' is going to be an AAA title....

Damn Tomb Raider looks fine. My brother copped it for his PS4 and even on his 720P tv the buttery smooth framerate looks on par with the PC version. I'll be playing it for some good ole trophies this week.

Are they just a cheaper version of the elites? They look light weight. Those elites have so many volume knobs and features.
They got all the features except they not switches they all buttons No bass impact but they have a increase the bass mode. The Golds are lightweight but the build is solid.

The Elites eventually begin to crack I'm on my second pair people all over the net are complaining about it. Physically the Golds will last longer then the Elites.

They are louder and the sound is crystal clear the highs are really highs.
Also with the new app not only can you change preset modes it allows you to tweak and customize them.

I hear the Gold's are more comfortable too. The Elites can feel heavy on the head and make your ears sore.

I'm gonna cop the Golds next week, no bass impact is not a deal breaker for me.

These are some slick looking headphones I can say I'm thoroughly impressed by them. In the audio dept these are bruising the Elites.
