Pretty much. Golds are more portable as well with how they fold up like regular over-the-ear headphones. The golds will probably end up replacing the basic non-pulse phones.

What I'm wondering is there gonna be an Elite upgrade right around the corner.
that's what i'm wondering/thinking too....cause like FX said, the gold will probably be the new basic headphones....so does that mean they gonna come with a gold elite later?....you know what, fukk it...i'm only using these shyts for gaming, so i'm probably just gonna go with the elites cause i want the bass boost....if they come with some gold elites later, i'll just trade in and upgrade...

I actually had to adjust to that shyt in bf3 the sound was so immersive it threw my killer game off.
Cause I got got the last time I ran out copped the pulse headsets like a month later they dropped them elites I was mad as hell but the features were so intriguing I copped again.

Do all of you have no surround sound where you play your ps4? Why does it seem 95% of gamers in this thread use headphones....Am I the only one blasting the shyt outta a 5.1 receiver/speakers for gaming?

The headphones are supplementary though, for playing when I don't want the whole house to rumble. Also, they're headsets for talking while playing online.
