Just be careful opening the controller. There's springs for the triggers that are tiny and can be easy to lose if you don't be careful.

They sell these at Home Depot or other hardware stores like Ace hardware. Get the satin or gloss one for your paint.
Then use this for the finish.

sandpaper should be 600 grit or higher.
This is what mines came out like. I had it good but my dumb ass stepped over the surface I was spraying on and the controller touched with the surface making one side a little uneven.

It's been glitchy since I've used it from the jump. It will either just stop playing songs or skip.
It works better and the UI is a lot cleaner on PS3 IMO.
