to the guy that wanted to know about blu ray movie playback: it's perfect. it is the easily the best blu ray player i own (i have a standalone sony one from a couple years ago, and a PC br player that is a few months older)
i tested it with "the devil's backbone", a criterion blu ray that appears to be shot on normal, high quality film. the settings are set to automatically do the 24 frame cinema mode which is perfect for this kind of movie. i may try to look through my collection for a fully digital flick that i can run with 24 frames turned off to see how that handles. i bet the hobbit will be a great test for that...
you use left and right triggers and shoulder buttons to either skip back and forth to different chapters, or ffwd and rewind. it's all smooth.
the PS4 itself is very quiet and light on temperature, so you dont have to worry about a lot of noise distracting you from the movie during normal playback, but if you do get aggressive with skipping and speeding up the video, you may cause the disc player to whine a little.
i cant wait until they start selling tv styled remotes for the PS4...
