Yo I'm not gonna front. I'm still excited for the ps4 this week, but does anyone know if the pscamera is capable of pulling the auto login shyt the kinect does? I know ps4 had voice commands.

Sony has just updated their software usage Terms concerning the Playstation ecosystem including Playstation 4 and it seems that there’s something intriguing in the ‘Resale’ section.


Apparently, the resale of disk-based or downloaded software is not allowed, unless explicitly authorized by them as well as the publisher of the software itself.

Here it is, in section 7.1:

You must not resell either Disc-based Software or Software Downloads, unless expressly authorized by us and, if the publisher is another company, additionally by the publisher.

Further investigation led to the Software Licensing section, which says that customers do not actually own the software after buying, but are simply licensing it for use. What’s more, the company can terminate your license if you do not comply with the terms.

All Software is licensed, not sold, which means you acquire rights to use the Software, as described in these Terms, but you do not acquire ownership of the Software. If you do not comply with these Terms, we can terminate your Software License which means you will no longer have the right to use the Software.

There’s also this section about the Leasing and Renting of your games. As in that you’re not supposed to do it.

You must not lease, rent, sublicense, publish, modify, adapt, or translate any portion of the Software.

Let’s recall what Sony Computer Entertainment of America president and CEO Jack Tretton said at E3:

When a gamer buys a PS4 disk, they have the rights to use that copy of the game. They can trade in that game at retail, sell it to another person, lend it to a friend, or keep it forever. In forever, PlayStation 4 disc-based games don’t need to be connected online to play.

Remember How To Share PS4 Games Video? People took it to mean that players will be able to do whatever they want with their purchased software, but apparently that only extends to letting your friend play the game.

Yeah the grass don’t seem so green on this side either do it? We’re still waiting for official word from Sony to clarify these terms. Until then, my jimmies are thoroughly rustled.​

I'm was leaning towards getting a ps4. but I was watching some videos on xbox one and now... I dont know. I aint really too deep into this console news stuff,but can you guys give some info about the ps4 that may give it the edge?

It will have better exclusives and is a more powerful console. If you are into gaming and don't really care about all the extra "fluff" that Microsoft has been throwing around...get a PS4

Amazon sent me a code for the buy 2 get 1 but I don't think imma use it 2k sold out I don't want knack or need for speed n drive club won't come out for a while. I don't know what to do.

got my code too, and did madden, 2K, and killzone. I'm still gonna check Target tomorrow morning since 2K12 is out at Amazon like you said. If Target has 2K12, I'm still gonna keep my Amazon preorder copy when it finally arrives and just return the Amazon copy back to Target for my refund.

Anyways, about that Target deal. I think I'm just going to keep my pre-orders from Gamestop that I already paid for (2K14 & KZ). Patience is not a virtue with me for this system - I'm ready to game, and I don't feel like jumping through hoops only to turn around and end up not getting the two games that I want the most from Target, or any other outlet.

I'm sure there will be more great deals come Black Friday, so I'll see what's poppin then. Good luck to you brehs on these deals tho. I hope all of y'all get to eat a little extra .

Meh, I'll check the nearest Target stores, and if they don't have KZ & 2K14 ready to be purchased, then I'll stick with my Gamestop order. I doubt I'd keep the third game anyway - I'd use it to sweeten my offer for the other PS4 that I plan on selling.

I'll keep tabs on this thread to see the type of luck people are having with Target and other retail stores.

I just got back from Target. I had 10 of those pre-order cards at the front register. Had her scan each one for a separate transaction...no coupon. She did it again...still no coupon. She scanned them all as one transaction...nothing.

She called the manager over and he said the coupons are completely random. He also said sometimes it may recognize a credit or debit card that's been used in their system a lot for similar high-dollar purchases. I rarely go to Target since their is a gamestop just down the street. There is only one Target in my area...looks like I'm going Amazon.

that's messed up. i did it and it came out on the second card. i think it prints before you even complete the transaction. i'm probably gonna go back and try to get another coupon.

was headed there after i finish this burrito. cotdamnit. was hoping to save $35 on 3 or $70 on 6 but don't feel like going on a blank mission this morning. guess I'm sticking with amazon.....
