There is the issue right there. I would almost always use a tripod for night shots if you can. You can shoot at ISO 100 and it will be way cleaner.

Tripod and lower iso. Trying to go handheld at night is a bytch smh. I am still trying to get nice at night shooting myself.

Tripod with a remote or self timer to avoid all shakes. ISO = 100 is key, avoids noise and bad colour banding especially on a crop sensor
long exposure, lower iso, tripod.

yeah thought lowering the shutter speed was the way, but was getting mad blur since I was shooting it handheld
if no tripod available, use a steady surface; table, rail, etc

This is what I use, super lightweight at 3.6lbs, quick release plate, all aluminum and can be used as a monopod, available in multiple colors. I have had mine for years, take it with whenever I know I gonna be out shooting. Price dropped too, I bought it for $200, now $129.

I have a mefoto tripod as well, and have had it for probably 4 years or so? Its held me down even when I had a massive Canon 5D MKIII with a 70-200 on it.
