some pics I just use the default skin softening brush preset. Mostly shots that are closer.

You can achieve that during production with a makeup artist as well as in post although you'll degrade the image slightly if you do it all in post. It's better to hire a makeup artist if the gig pays enough to budget it, you can get a very decent makeup artist for 75-150 an hour.

some are people I've just met through networking on IG. I met this person through just like being in the same Facebook Model/Photographer group and she knew a few other models I know. Like just from being in the same circle and I was like like "anybody wanna shoot on Saturday?" or whatever and she answered. Gotta keep a good rep, cuz the models network with each other and they have their own private facebook groups and shyt. Just from committing to portraits on January 1st till now, May, I never really struggle to find models that want to trade for shots now. Just gotta commit to the networking, get your reputation right, and most of all have your quality up to par. I shot with her again over the weekend. She's
