I don't know what happened with this shoot I guess I got too confident from the last photoshoot I did. Cause me and her are gonna have to redo this entire shoot Outfits and all.
I guess I need to stick to 2 flashes instead of one.

Im not feeling that caption... Dog you gotta have more confidence.

The photos were fine and most people who saw that would like it.

Saying you could do better will probably make the model feel some type of way and could potentially scare would be clients. Getting your pictures taken professionally is a very emotional experience. All your feelings of confidence, insecurities, and self-image is wrapped up in the shoot. The photographer has to be sensitive of these things.

When you get hired for a shoot..... The most important thing is how the subject (person who paid) feels about themselves and the photos. The way the photos look sis whatever... if they are great post them if not keep em hidden. But if the client is happy then that's what gets you repeat business and referrals.

If i have a trash shoot I still act like I love the photos.... very few people are immune to flattery would rather believe they look good then that they look bad lol.

I get what your saying and get that all the time.
I'm literally the most critical person when it comes to grading my work. It's not like I don't see the improvement in the photos just I tend to compare myself to others daily. Just when I think I get good I see someone else's work and say "damn I'm not there yet... Gotta get better"

Always looking to get better that I'll down talk my own work:francis:

thats normal to hate your own work, all great artists do it. Just gotta keep it to yourself or like on the forums... Not anywhere you display it and not when there are people involved cause they are gonna feel like its their fault. The same way if the pics turn out good, they take credit haha.

You photographers that get paid, do you accept your money before or after the session? Especially with models

The photos are fine. I actually really like the perspective on this one, personally. It's the captions that are bad. If it happens to be a shot that you don't care for, for whatever reason, just don't post it. You're hurting your brand with this.

I always get payment after the session, cash only, and have everything documented including payment in the release agreement.

depends on who it is, but i usually do 30% up front(non refundable) and the rest at the end of the session. you can use websites to show proofs of pics that a client can see, but not download, if you got someone annoying actin like you gonna sit there and take photos for however long, but not send pics after payment

Set a deposit fee before the shoot. Then get the rest after your shoot (after you get them their pics back)

Might want to write up a contract also.

Don't want to learn the hard way on this
