I love what Reggie's doing with the Defense. Now that he's out from the 20+MM in dead salary, I hope the rest of the Nation gives him some slack. I think that Saffold fiasco was a blessing in disguise.
I hope that Mack, Watkins, Robinson are available at 5. We would be good with either of them. Draft Carr or McCarron in the latter rounds. These Top QB's just smell more like BUST rather than BOOM

Tarver uses more of a 4-3 scheme, but does use some 3-4 as well, and wants to run a versatile defensive scheme throwing different sets with the flexibility to have multiple players play multiple positions. Brown says he is already familiar with Tarver during their stint in SF already, so he doesn't think it will be a problem for him to fit in. But, to a fault Tarver does run a bit too much zone, but now he has improved talent and better players, so hopefully it will be much better.

Zone sounds about right with DJ Hayden still learning the ropes. I'd love to bring Woody back but not sure how much field he can cover with his old wheels

Sammy at 5 would be awesome. Too bad Reggie shot his load for Saffold, I was hoping on the low they'd make a push for Jairus Byrd or TJ Ward

Brehs, i know i'm not the only one hoping we trade down, and acquire more picks/players in this draft.... not one of these dudes in the top 5 will instantly change shyt in one season.... so why not trade down?

I think they could, that's why they didn't pay up for Veldheer. I thought they were going to try to throw Menelik Watson into the fire and have him start at LT, but they could still try to sign Penn in FA. McCaczie is high on Watson since its his guy, which is why he didn't mind letting Veldheer go. I wouldn't rule just drafting Sammy Watkins at 5 since he might just be potentially the best player in the draft going by his combine, and I think they will try to target Derek Carr in the 2nd round if he doesn't get drafted by pick number 8. But, I think they should trade back for more draft picks though.
