ALAMEDA, Calif. - The Oakland Raiders have signed unrestricted free agent S Marcus Gilchrist, the club announced Thursday.

Gilchrist signs with the Raiders after seven NFL seasons with the San Diego Chargers, New York Jets and Houston Texans. Over his career, Gilchrist has played in 107 games with 82 starts, totaling 426 tackles (330 solo), 11 interceptions, 33 passes defensed, four sacks, five forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He began his career as a cornerback and shifted to safety during the 2013 season.

For what he did for this defense in the short time he was here, Reggie should of offered a very favorable contract. Was it game 1 or 2 where he ended up with most tackles

Let’s see how the contract works out but I’d rather have Jordy than Crabtree. Jordy wasn’t that bad last year when Rodgers was playing.

No disprespect but yes he was bad even with rodgers. He was on pace for 800 yards and had career lows the 6 games he played with Rodgers. U need to realize jordy has lost a step. He wont be open. After his acI injury, rodgers had to throw jordy open and make accurate throws to get him the ball. i always show my raider brehs love each year as a packer breh and hope the best for u guys and jordy
