I have a feeling we're not going to make the playoffs this year. Our defense is horrid.
I know it's not the immediate answer, but man you know i wanted that kid Foster from Alabama. I value Linebackers over corners.
The AFC isnt that strong enough where we couldn't make it through wild card. I firmly believe minus a major injury to Carr again, if he's in we win.
I totally understand where your coming from, but thats our problem we are hurting in multiple positions on our defense. Plus, not every draft pick for defense has been golden either is our other issue.
we wont be that band. khalil makes us atleast get to 25We about to be a #1 offense with a 32 ranked defense

How bad is the defense actually looking? Do you feel the defense is good enough to be able to hang with the Patriots and Steelers at this point?
yea thats why i said 25th. mack wont let us be dead last. hopefully the rookies on the dline and conely develop fastDid you watch yesterdays game? the only highlight was a sack from Mack on defense.
thats the problem, Mack shouldnt be the only fukking person playing defense.

I think we're better than the steelers honestly.
It's the patriots where it is the problem. Cooks killed us last year, speedy shifty receivers always kill us. And obviously TE where they have Gronk.
Honestly when we play them in Mexico City, I'm curious what the game plan will be. Hopefully it'll be ramming it down their throat w/the run game. We have a prolific offense, but i think our best defense against them will be keeping our offense on the field.
Only reason I really mentioned the Steelers is because they can have an absolutely lethal offense, but their defense is questionable just like the Raiders defense seems to be.
The Patriots are really a nightmare match-up for the Raiders, just like they are for every other team. Any team can win on any given Sunday, but having Gilmore and Butler being able to go against Cooper and Crabtree is huge.
On the offensive side of the ball, Brady has Gronk+Edelman+Cooks+Hogan+Mitchell+Allen just for WR's and TE's. I'm looking forward to that game in Mexico City though. As you said, the best defense for the Raiders against the Patriots or any high powered offensive team is to have their own offense on the field.
yeah, we got the best o line in the game (cowboys too). utilize it, lots of Lynch/washington/richard. Cooper has the talent to eat against Butler, he just need to show that fire. I know Crabtree can get Gilmore no problem.
The Patriots are thin at DE right now which is tough. They have a very good secondary though, with McCourty, Gilmore, and Butler all being pro-bowl/All-Pro players. I trust the way Belichick schemes, and just like every season, health is a major factor as well. The Raiders have the offensive potential to do some serious damage this year,.
As I mentioned before, any given Sunday really does apply in the NFL, but I honestly think the Raiders would need to win home-field to be able to take out the Patriots (not talking Mexico City, although that could determine home-field) because winning in New England during January is daunting.
Do you guys think the Raiders definitely win the division, or do you think there's a chance Denver or the Chiefs could take it?
