One positive is he's known to build an identity, that takes time but maybe they looking for him to just put together the foundation. It why I wanted Harbs, team needs a complete foundational change with a strong voice. Maybe Pete can do it too

Facts. The thing about Pete is he's a known quantity. He's the most established coach we've had in a very very long time. He can look eye to eye with any coach in the AFC West. At least we know what to expect in terms of what he provides. Now we just have to see if he can do it here.

my problem with Pete if Im a team looking for coach is, how can he modernize his defense ? Thats the #1 question

his last several years in the league hes played bland predictable defense even with playmakers on the team, and got routinely waxed by shanahan offenses...and he wouldnt change anything.

Pete is a great players coach tho. There is zero doubt about that and he can build a culture. He isnt afraid of taking guys with character issues in the draft and then making them buy in.
