So most of yall want the raiders back in LA? I keep telling my Oakland folk its going to be damn near impossible to build a new stadium in the town. Seems like Oakland pols are just hoping things work out instead of actually finding a solution.
Do guys really think mark Davis will sell major portion of the raiders , a buisness he was destined to own since birth, after two years ?
Breh, Mark doesn't have the pull nor the power to be like his dad and the NFL doesn't want another Al Davis, they won't admit it but the cards are there for everyone to see. Once Jerry Jones is gone, those days of tyrant owners are over and the NFL can do whatever they want.
Mark doesn't need to sell.. Magic and them could just buy out the other investors and they would own half the team.
Mark Davis has complete control of the Raiders, he cannot be forced to sell by the NFL, other owners , or the LAW.
Now the NFL does have the power to cockblock any nfl team to move to LA, and this is were majority of the problem is .
You are correct , but like i stated above . Do you think that chink would invest all that money to not have a say so in the team? only magic would do that. private companys are asking for 50% to build the stadium . its crazy .
I know he has complete control that wasn't the point. Whats highlighted is what i was referring to
Nope.Davis owns about 47% in shares which gives him the power to run the day to day operations. Let's say Soon or whoever is able to acquire about 50% wouldn't that put him in charge?
In the mock draft, it has Clowney, Mack, & Watkins gone in the first 3 picks. I wouldn't mind trading back for more picks if that happens, but drafting a CB again in the first round? It does seem like a McCaczie move though. And I like Gilbert too, but CB's aren't game changers the way an elite pass rusher is, something we really need. I'm ready for everything and anything come draft time.#5 Minnesota Vikings: Teddy Bridgewater, QB UL (Trade down with Oakland for #8 pick and third/fifth round picks)
Rory’s Take: The first quarterback off the board is the best in this draft. Speilman has shown a preference for quarterbacks with Teddy’s skill set and here they trade up with a third round pick and a fifth to the Raiders.
Chase’s Take: Oakland gets two extra picks in this scenario, making more than up for the Schaub trade while allowing Minnesota to take the first quarterback in the draft. Not a bad potential scenario considering that the Vikings have yet to add a non-Matt Cassel quarterbacking option in Minnesota yet.
#8 Baltimore Ravens: Mike Evans, WR TAMU (Acquired from Raiders for 17th pick + second round pick)
Rory’s Take: After a trade down and picking up a third round pick and a fifth round pick the Raiders trade down again with the Ravens and this time add a second round pick. With these extra picks the Raiders actually have the opportunity to back up their veterans with rookies and make the long term changes they need. Here the Ravens add a new Boldin.
Chase’s Take: Rory keeps having the Raiders trade down and McKenzie will pick up another pick for doing so while the Ravens ensure that they get Evans who could learn under Steve Smith while developing into a promising possession threat in the NFL.
#17 Oakland Raiders: Justin Gilbert, CB Ok. St (Trade down from #5 with Washington/Baltimore)
Rory’s Take: Yes the Raiders have Hayden and they signed Tarell Brown, but they need defensive backs. Gilbert is very similar to Hayden and can be a top flight tandem with Brown playing the slot in nickel situations. Also, Usama Young entered the NFL as a slot cornerback and can still perform that job.
Chase’s Take: This is some impressive trade down moving from the Raiders to #17 (It is always easy when it is a mock draft) and it gets the Raiders to a spot where they can address an absolute need with a second young, starting caliber cornerback in the draft on the cheap. After missing out on Desean Jackson, it may just be that Reggie McKenzie will hit the market of elite wideouts and avoid trading down this far altogether.

The Raiders last 8 first-round draft picks and the player they COULD have had instead.
I said last year go with a defensive lineman but mckenzie wanted to trade down
