But honestly, this story ending with Tye coming out on top actually made the conclusion to this entire story even more worthwhile.

Too many guys leave NXT after a loss which IMO devalues them. I think all of them should get called up after having a definitive victory over some long-standing NXT rival.

I'd imagine it's predicated on the old school tradition of putting someone over before "leaving the territory" so to speak. I can't recall anyone from NXT (as we know it) arriving after a win - the only two I can remember doing so was Paige and Kevin Owens.
