Pushed him to the fukking moon but didn't DO anything with him. What is Finn Balor's character? What are his memorable angles and storylines? WHY was he the top guy and face of NXT? He had no storylines going into getting a title shot, which only happened because Itami got hurt before the Japan show. Then he won the title on the 4th of July 2015. He lost it on 6/8/16. He had 4 title defenses during that time. 4 defenses in 11 months. What a great champ and face of the brand. Can you even remember who he defended against besides Joe? Can you remember why?

Man, remember when they did that two-parter video package on him and all Finn did in that shyt was talk about going to Japan and how much he liked LEGO and they pretty much had Becky Lynch gushing over him for the rest of it?
Finn's reign as NXT champ is pretty much the reason I fukking hate anyone bringing up that "paid his dues" shyt that beards love to use as a reason to like or dislike a wrestler's push.
Your asking a guy who liked everything Finn did and saw nxt live partially to see his entrance . I been watching nxt since the big e days . Finn got kids and other casuals intrigued with the entrance and his look . Owens started the ball rolling and Finn ran with it as in promoting and pushing nxt . His title defenses were special because they were less frequent
They were non-existent, breh. Dude was barely even on TV after he won the title. When the champ and face of your brand doesn't have an angle for 7 of his 11 month reign, it makes him (and by extension the title and brand) seem like an afterthought. This isn't like special attraction Brock. Everything about Balor in NXT was "Hey, isn't it cool Prince Devitt is our champ now?". No character. No stories. No angles. NXT has already blown up almost a year before he even debuted.

I still have yet to read one good argument in favor of Balor besides "hey, I just like him 
he has a great entrance, cool moves and look". And I'm not talking about just NXT Balor, the exact same shyt happened when he was Devitt 
I have no issue with people being fans of him but he's one of the few wrestlers were I legit don't get it. Never have.
