WWE’s Japan website has announced NXT women’s champion Asuka’s opponent for the NXT live event on December 3rd in Osaka, Japan at the Edion Arena. Asuka is confirmed to face Nia Jax for the NXT Women’s Title.

Shinsuke Nakamura against Samoa Joe for the NXT title is also confirmed for the event.

I wonder if they even got anyone in the picture to seriously challenge Asuka at this point. The only one on the NXT roster even remotely talented enough is Ember Moon but they haven't really bothered to push her at all.

Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Samoa Joe for the NXT Championship in Osaka, Japan, earlier today. NXT’s official Instagram broke the story, revealing an image of The King of Strong Style holding the championship, to now become only the second two-time NXT Champion in history (the other, of course, being Samoa Joe).

Samoa Joe defeated Nakamura for the championship several weeks ago at NXT TakeOver: Toronto in a brutal and controversial contest, but Nakamura was able to shift momentum back in his favor and take back the title on his home soil.

I think they had Joe win at Takeover just for the shock factor plus having Nakamura going into Osaka as challenger and winning was probably to get a bigger crowd, etc.
