it's one thing to be subjective. i get that, and honestly mal stanning for drake works for the podcast. the outrage triggers clicks/conversation/engagement.
the thing that makes it hard to watch for me... mal comes across as obtuse in this discussion. and that part doesn't feel intentional. he's determined to argue a point, but he's doing it based on a complete misinterpretation of the facts at hand. and instead of just owning that part, he repeats himself over and over, like the 10th time he says the same thing it'll just click for everyone else in the room.
he dismissed rory's point, says let's not talk about "ifs", and literally leads his next point with a hypothetical.
if you're gonna be biased, at least be biased and informed. it's why he can get away with it when they're just talking music, because he can handle those convos. it's not nearly as entertaining when you're biased and come across like you're out of your depth.
you worked around it so long it's just another day at the office, but the rest of us have RARELY seen an adult fight for another person's honor like this with seemingly no meaningful connection between them, without getting clowned out the room for it. Maybe sports media when they're cutting promos on athletes.
