mal saying hit-boy revived nas' career
wonder what they got cookin in detroit
Do people put the Kings Disease albums upI don't think that's an unfair comment in context. Beyond the general disappointment of the Kanye album, there was a lot of clowning or overlooking of Nas going on a few years ago. The Nasir album rollout was a disaster, then the first single from Lost Tapes 2 got clowned. It wasn't SOHH era Nas hater shyt but it wasn't good, and oftentimes perception is reality whether we like it or not.
KD1 and 2 have completely flipped things. It killed the "bad beats" shyt, it gave him some new bangers, and both projects were so undeniable that even haters had to fall back. Twitter was wild when KD2 came out. While Kanye was doing that dumb shyt, people were listening to KD2 saying ok this shyt is the best shyt right now. I'm gonna give Hit Boy some credit for that, no doubt.
My cousin thinks Nas is just a trash song maker, lol. He acknowledges that Nas be talking that shyt but he just doesn't like his songs, hardly ever. I used to argue with him more when I was younger, now I don't really give a fukk what he thinks, but maybe others feel the same as him.Could the problem with Nas be that he makes bad songs on good beats?
Probably not, although I think KD2 is a top 5 Nas album. The point is more so that he dropped two dope albums back to back with dope beats, no one is clowning him, and he’s getting respect (awards, accolades etc). A far cry from 2017 when the memes and trolls were out in full effect.Do people put the Kings Disease albums up
There with his classic works though? I just don’t see it. People did give Nas props on them albums but it’s nothing like his heyday stuff. He was more popular in the “bad beats” era to me.

I don't listen to this or Joe's pod so I wouldn't usually comment but the turn this thread took as soon as Nas was mentioned was funny.
what's so hard to grasp that HitBoy has played a massive part in him having a new lease of life musically and another moment in the sun ??
its literally impossible and not worth it to have a conversation with Nas fans about anything to do with his music.
they exist on a plane of delusional worship or just a downright refusal to comprehend anything but praise.
Mal looks at home with that on. he has the face of an undercover you'd notice right away
You been here just as long if not longer than me lol you know how it goes on this site when it comes to EscoI don't listen to this or Joe's pod so I wouldn't usually comment but the turn this thread took as soon as Nas was mentioned was funny.
