because I'm talking about Latin RAPPERS as well...she's one in the American market. But I know she or her management see how much money these reggaeton/dembow guys are getting and they never drop albums.

when Ice Spice came out she was getting cooked by everybody. men and women for her music and people saying she looks the type to go the store in her pyjamas or be caught giving head in the staircase so she already had attention on her but then she found her grove with the girly bops, showed more of her personality and stuck with an identifiable look that suited her and has since got herself a good team.
she's still very polarizing but for the most part she made people do a 180 on her which is hard to do
the way the entertainment industry is now, Ice Spice is here for a short time, not a long time. you speedrun that shyt
you rack as many moments up as you can, as soon as you can then if your good, your fanbase should keep you going for years

Yeah, just from the clip I've seen, Demaris comes off as a giant hater, and someone who needs to maybe log off for a bit.
Colorism is absolutely a thing, but I swear it can't be colorism every single time someone lightskinned catches a W.
Obviously, Ice Spice is being pushed, but I think it's less about her being lightskinned, and more about just being around to fill the role of artist who makes thot rap/mute classics with a slightly less aggressive tone.
The colorism argument in Ice Spice’s case is bullshyt. Men aren’t buying her albums. Her fukking fanbase is 99% women and the other part are probably the gays. shyt makes no sense, the women that whine about “colorism” are the ones that are propping her.
