Third episode in...and this reminds me too much of Arrowverse :francis:

The rich evil dad reminds me too much of Malcolm Merlin :francis:

Pyschopathic son remind me too much of Merlin's son.

Pyschopath's sister reminds me too much of the DA who was the cop's daughter.

There was actually more suspense during the flashback scenes when Oli was at the island. Here not so much :francis:

I'm sick off all these white heir/billionaire superheroes...Iron Man, Batman, Arrow, and now IF WITH their rich, snobby friends, pct schools, and shyt. None of those guys even built their respective empire but they are always destined to run it , gtfoh who can relate?? Hell even DD OWNS his own practice, but Luke Cage is a bum who goes back to jail in the end :camby:

Finishing up Badlands and about to start this. Kung fu goodness :whew:

Hopefully the show is solid. I've been interested in IF but never read much shyt from him; just a trade from a series of his over a decade ago.

Currently at ep6 right now all the ppl saying the critics are bugging need to put the pipe down. Marvel/Netflix shows have set a standard for themselves and thus far this show has fallen way below. Pacing, story, supporting characters all leave a lot to be desired.. y'all are even saying the "acting" is good, the lead isn't particularly strong, coleen is forgettable and the 2 soapsters characters are karen/foggy bad

Yep yep.

Episode 5-6 it picks up a bit, episode 6 is the best overall but 6 also makes it PAINFULLY obvious that Sir Laras is painfully outclassed in the fighting department.

I'm going to say this again, but this show would've benefited MASSIVELY from casting an Asian American actor in the lead.

I don't give a fukk if the source material is a Cac. Iron Fist debuted at a time when white people could get away with such gross cultural appropriation. These aren't those times anymore. It's 2017, and even CACS are tired of seeing themselves outright stealing the culture and heritage of other races (in the media. Real life is another story)

White bread Danny Rand coming back to reclaim his father's company isn't exciting. There's literally NOTHING fresh about it. It's been done to death by better writer/directors a thousand times over. Arrow pretty much mastered it. There's no new ground, and the way in which the showrunners are going about it is ham fisted as all hell.

Sir Laras doesn't look like he can kick ANYONE'S ass, so him
Kicking the ass of THREE straight Asian characters in EP 6, who are supposedly masters, is fukking insulting. The great all powerful white man ALWAYS finds a way to be the best. fukk outta here

Claire Temple brings some MUCH needed humor and familiarity to the proceedings whenever she's onscreen. Colleen feels like their holding her back, she's more natural at it than the damn hero of the story. The Brother keeps getting progressively more annoying (your dad comes back to life from cancer but you can't believe the shyt Danny is saying?) and the sister is just kind of there to look either highly annoyed or completely shocked.

I will say the soundtrack is good. Cinematography is too notch, and The Hand storyline remains compelling. The evil dad is played well by the actor, I wish he was given more screen time over then brother/sister duo. Claire is a highlight.

Just finished watching and.....it's solid. I will say that some of the actors were alittle dry on their acting (most obvious one of this is Ward) but I still enjoyed it all the way through. For me, I put it above Jessica Jones
fukk the cliffhanger ending for the first season:francis:

If he doesn't like it he doesn't I'm mot interfering in anyone's viewing experience. Myself personally, the Hand storyline is much needed as this season has been slow as hell. On episode 6 this feels more like I was hoping for.
