Why did the prosecutor explain the law so poorly. Just say it plainly and beat it in.
Defendants are trying to confuse the jury
Unfortunately a jury of “peers” tend to not grasp jurisprudence, it’s an interesting model we commit to unfailingly.
A more reasonable model would be to allow some to appear before a judge and not an “average” citizen where needed but eh. This hopefully will go one way, won’t opine otherwise.

by the time your death/murder gets to the “12” Unfortch doa the words used to describe you or what happened to you/someone has done to you are out of your control.
The still living get to represent themselves and cry and plead/ramble out and the 12…decide. Good prosecutors and defense-by training not intelligence- play on it with pretty simple word tactics and employing language and rhetoric, most people fall for or don’t. average citizen is NOT who I would entrust my murder or the r word and “justice” to. I understand vigilantism and while I wish we were better, we do have a color and Black esp of certain skin tones life not mattering crisis (*400+ Years and counting)
