Yea, that was my favorite freshman comedy of last year. It has a lot of heart, and the laughs aren't gut-busting, but you always leave the episode with a smile on your face.

Episode was subpar, but I enjoyed some moments. At this point, I'm in it for my favorite characters (Phil, Mitch, Gloria) and how they raise their ridiculousness levels each week. They probably have three-six episodes that have strong plots that intertwine the characters great each season, and that's an accomplishment when you have to write for ten characters; eleven now that you have to include Lily this season.

I didn't think it was that bad, the strongest part was the Dunphy's having a great summer until Alex coming home. Phil saying "O my god" everytime he bit into a plum was great. Then realizing at the end that Alex is the one who protects them and saves them from hurting themselves.

Finally caught the episode on demand. Missed it because of the Survivor premiere. This s h i t was funny as hell. Phil gettin loose on those plums. Claire looking right. I was surprised at how far they went on the closer with Haley wiping ice cream off her breasts and that polite ass shaking she was doing. This was the most evident episode of how lacking Cam, Mitchell & Lily are in comparison to the other characters. They're (Cam and Mitchell) aren't generally funny characters, they're just gay. Cam is much better when he has a project to obsess over.
Gloria killed it with the wardrobe change. Her and Jay still have good chemistry. I wish Manny and Luke would do more dumb s h i t together like in the previous seasons. I third how good Haley is looking but we all know who the sleeper is. She better get some decent camera time this season. All in all, I thought this was a hilarious premiere.

I thought the part with Hayley, Phil, and Luke in the room debating on whether or not to push the button was great.
Jay whimpering out of the room when Gloria smashed his bunny was pretty funny too.

I thought that this was the best part of the show. I also had a feeling the way it ended was what was up the whole time.
Hayley was looking right again.
Gloria and Jay scenes aren't really cutting it as much lately. Wonder how long this show will go on for. 6 seasons is a damn lot these days.

It's the highest rated comedy on ABC and still wins Emmys. I imagine it won't be ending any time soon.
