In October, it’s going to be one year that I haven’t had a fight. It’s making me very frustrated, and I’m feeling very nervous about that. That’s what I do. That’s what I love to do, and that’s what I do to live, and I can’t wait to be back.”

I kept trying to tell folks offline that they don't want Gus fighting Jones in an immediate rematch because the element of surprise Alex had on him with that reach is gone, give him a fight or two extra in between. Jon was finding him and figuring Gus's range out in those last few rounds. He'd have sub'd Gus in 3 the next time around I believe.

Alex has much better hands than Bones in terms of boxing. That was his only real advantage.

I'm pretty sure Greg Jackson hired a boxing coach a few months back so that's out the window now.

I wonder how McGregor would match up against Cerrone?

That would be a cool fight actually.

UFC fighter and former Tokay High School student Nick Diaz was arrested in Lodi at 2:20 a.m. Sept. 6 on suspicion of DUI, obstructing a police officer, destruction of evidence and driving with a suspended license, according to Sgt. Mike Kermgard of the Lodi Police Department.

Diaz was arrested by Cpl. Eric Bradley while driving down the 600 block of East Pine Street, Kermgard said. The arraignment for Diaz should be 21 days after his arrest.

Diaz is scheduled to fight Anderson Silva, former UFC middleweight champion, on Jan. 31, 2015.
