Had Jon done whatever they call that dance that Rothwell did over Overeem to someone every mma site on the web woulda crashed. I remember when Jones choked out Machida and let him drop how folks on other boards were calling for his head, I had guys legitimately heated when I'd ask so what was Jon supposed to do to a clearly unconscious man who he could have further injured by holding him up when the ref is waiving off the fight except release the hold

The hate also stems from Jones being the best fighter in the world. Look at the all-time greats, they all had their fair share of hate/haters. GSP, Anderson and even Fedor.

If I recall correctly, people hated Liddell for his eye pokes (although it may have not been to the extent of the hate of Jones). I, also, remember Hendo getting shyt for hitting Shogun/Fedor in the back of the head. You're right with the rest though.

I would like to see this fight, but it doesn't really make sense.
Lombard needs to focus on that title. I do respect that's he's willing to fight pretty much anyone.
