It seemed like the ref thought that Nemkov basically tapped after getting hit with something. But on the replay you could see they both acknowledged that it was a headbutt. Dude jumped the gun something crazy when there was a simple fix for thatjust tuned into the Bellator fight ... can someone who watches Bellator regularly explain why the doctor didn't even bother to look at Nemkov's cut? that fight absolutely, 100% should have been allowed to continue ..... WTF?
the cut looked way worse than it really was, but the cut wasn't even really talked about ... it's like everyone just accepted the referee's decision (Frank Trigg lmao .. who btw wasn't sure what he was doing himself) .... we see far worse cuts than that every week in the UFC.... can understand stopping the fight momentarily due to the accidental head butt .... but the fact that they didn't have a doctor look at the cut is lame.

I agree. There were 3 seconds left and no reason that the ref shouldn't have taken the proper steps. Especially a title shot with big money on the line.it's crazy tho that they didn't even consider allowing the doctor to make a decision.... that fight would have and absolutely should have been allowed to continue. stopping the fight momentarily for the head butt is understandable, but not allowing the fight to continue over a basic cut is absurd.
it's almost as if the officiating crew couldn't put their egos aside and allow the doctor to do his job.... which is a shame for the fighters, coaches, the fans, and more importantly costing those two fighters in particular a shot at $1 million tonight. the officials simply didn't want to do the right thing.
