if u watch closely, the guy who gets up is squeezing the guys leg around his head, putting pressure on the knee
Naw he just got caught. He looked very solid until Lewis caught him. Wrestling at HW is trash. Dudes are so big and tall that there shots are extremely predictable. As much shyt as people give Jones if he was shooting doubles he wouldn’t be nearly as good as he is(or was)

It's a toe hold. The toe hold targets the foot(particularly the metatarsal bones) and the ankle. A lot of BJJ guys would be unfamiliar with this variation of it, as it's moreso known in catch wrestling, and could be caught of guard.
He didn’t just get caught, he got timed. Midway through the first round Blaydes finally decided to start kicking Lewis’s lead leg, even got a body kick in and a couple jabs. He abandoned that though even though it was paying dividends and hurting Lewis. Blaydes mentally did not allow him to get comfortable in a striking battle with Lewis even though he had 2 potent weapons he could use.
Jon Jones wouldn’t even let Lewis get close if they fought, he would take those leg kicks ALL DAY. Sombody with Blaydes wrestling should be trying to imitate Jones but the man is too timid.
and I’m not saying he’s goin to PFL cause he’s trash, I’m saying it cause he doesn’t have a lot of fights left on his contract and Dana doesn’t like him
