It's also crazy to think that Dustin is 5x the fighter he was in 2014 and is still the underdog. Honestly I just think it's hard for people to square away Conor losing on the feet to a fighter that prefers to strike. I think that's all it is in regards to the bolded. I think there's no question Dustin a more well rounded martial artist and is way more proven at 155.Porier about to shock the world.
Unbelievable how a man who's made millions (living very comfortable), has fought 2 times in the last 4 years is expected to run through a top fighter like Porier.
Porier has evolved since that 1st fight with Connor. Connor is the same fighter from back then just with more zeroes to his bank account.
Porier s battle tested! Connor is living off his featherweight rep. Hasn't done anything at lightweight but beaten Alvarez and a shot Cerrone.
Porier by submission.
Regardless of what people think about Conor, he's a brilliant striker and his takedown defense is underrated. People will always envision the fights against Aldo and Alvarez. He even did good against Mayweather compared to many others. I doubted Conor through his entire rise and kept thinking "okay this is the fight where the train will go off the tracks" and it just never did (besides Nate Diaz fight #1). So I learned to be nervous when it comes to doubting Conor. Dustin low-key has a lot of similarities with Nate though, who was a nightmare match for Conor both times.
I want Dustin to finish it tonight and cement his status in the game.
