Told you. Reem got Heemed

Call me old fashioned, but why these brolic motherfukkers never learn guard or head movement? Ever? UFC is completely bereft of it.

Surely at least back left hand can be positioned/tucked at least near the jaw?

Colby is actually the worst matchup for him in the division, probably followed by Edwards.

The fight is going to come down to a decision and it's going to a majority or split decision.

He absolutely dominated Edwards when they fought before and has honestly improved twice as much as Leon has as a fighter in the time that's passed since then too so I don't really see any basis for that claim. Colby is probably his easiest matchup in the top outside of that 5 too; he's much weaker, smaller and shorter, has less leverage in grappling situations, and has no actual punching or striking power in general threaten Usman with in the standup. By strictly NCAA credentials Colby is supposed be a better wrestler... but in terms of MMA wrestling displays Colby has been reversed on the ground and taken down by much smaller, weaker wrestlers like RDA. Usman conversely has never been taken down at all in any fight in his UFC career and has been able to takedown literally every opponent he's made an attempt to.

Unless Kamaru's cardio and weight cut are horribly botched and he gasses VERY early I don't see any path to victory for KKKovington whatsoever; he isn't strong enough to hold Usman against the fence let alone on the ground for any appreciable amount of time if he does take him down, and his striking isn't anywhere near technically sound or dangerous enough to threaten him with standing up either (Usman handily outstruck Woodley and RDA, 2 infinitely more dangerous strikers; Colby got touched up by old man Maia in multiple exchanges in their fight :mjlol:). I think he's gonna turtle and freeze up when he realizes how badly outmatched he is strength and leverage wise and get knocked out shortly afterwards, cause unlike him Usman has dynamite in those hands when he lets them fly:

Can't wait :mjlit:

Dominated Edwards? No that fight was competitive. Even Usman said that was his toughest fight. Usman is heavily reliant in coming forward and pressuring. But that won’t happen with Colby. And his striking isn’t nuanced or enough to really trouble him. Say what you want about Colby but he has a chin. He ate flush shots from RDA and Lawler and still kept coming. It’s a bad matchup for Usman

Fatigue mate.

Overeem knows how to stay disciplined defenselessly, thats how he won the K1 tourney. That clip was literally 5 seconds from the end of the fight and he mentally checked out.

Happens to nikkas in boxing too :yeshrug:

I don’t know why people are so convinced Usman is gonna shyt the bed. I think he showed marked improvement against Woodley. He bullied him against the cage and nearly got a finish. He has the strength advantage IMO. Having said that, there’s a reason they put Nunes and Max on this card. They’re the ones selling it, Usman & Colby ain’t moving the needle much had they been the lone title fight. Odds are high the fight will suck.
They're on there to stack the card but get real, neither Nunes or Max sell ppvs.

I'll never be more frustrated with a fighter than Reem. Sometimes it's like he finds ways to blow it (thinking of Big Foot here). I had put some money on him to win by decision and was half way through patting myself on the back when his lip exploded :snoop:

Real talk, this card scares me because I'm overconfident in my picks and everyone else seems a lot more on the fence. I watched Luke Thomas really hype up Volk's striking and I get it, but I can't see that shaking up Max. I'm more confident in Usman too. It feels like every time I have this much certainty, everything goes wrong and I lose money on my bets.
