Cyril Gane just fought a smart ass fight at heavyweight, he wasn't fighting anyone dangerous but he had good cardio, good pressure with kicks, didn't rush for the finish with strikes when he had his opponent hurt and ended up getting the latest submission at heavyweight by heel hook.

Good points made. I think there’s something to be said about kickboxer’s patience in their transitions to mma as well as their turn around. That’s his 3rd fight this year, 5th since he debuted last August. Him being at heavyweight paired with France legalizing mma soon could make him a star. Definitely a prospect.
*We might be seeing legit kickboxers putting it all together in mma now with Adesanya becoming champ, Gane coming up, and Rozenstruik fighting next week. There’s been huge influxes of Wrestlers and Jiujitsu in the past who have been able to add to their game and become elite. We might be in a new era where it’s kickboxers’ time.

Askren should be 0-3 if Herb didn’t fukk up. Maia is like a thousand years old and has no cardio. Ben Still didn’t have anything to threaten him with. And got thoroughly outclassed on the ground(and feet but that was expected )
