Usman brushes it off like he had one coach that called him Marty, and that Ben overheard it and ran with it. I thought Askren was playing it up and trolling saying things like he turned on the TV one day and saw this guy the Nigerian Nightmare and said "Hey, that looks like Marty from Nebraska".

Hell nah. I looked up videos going back to 08 and everyone from commentators, interviewers and the graphics on the screen during the broadcast refer to this guy as Marty

And his voice and the way he talks even sound different.

Friday's kinda the warm up. Saturday has some interesting matches like my boo Valerie Loureda fighting. Sunday is stacked, all the fights that coulda made the Australia PPV worth buying wound up on that card or it's prelims...Renan Barao is early prelim status on it and fighting my guy Luke Sanders who hasn't had a great run but is always in entertaining fights.

The assessments I’ve heard about the Daley MVP fight are wild. Stephen Thompson called Daley a slow target who walks forward with his hands down and throws big punches

Anyway I wanna take a moment to point out how screwed Raphael Asuncao is.

I know he’s not fun to watch, I’m not a fan myself.
But dude went on a 7 fight win streak including TJ and Caraway. Instead of a title shot he’s forced to rematch TJ and loses.

Goes on a 4 fight streak including Moraes and Aljamin. Title shot time? No rematch Moraes less than 2 years later.

Now he’s 36 year old coming off getting finished in the 1st round in one of the best divisions in the sports. His chances of a 3rd run are slim as fukk. That guys manager and UFC fukked him royally
