He gets a whiskey ad on the octagon for every event he's in. This dude got himself paid to advertise his whiskey :mjlol:. That contract really does make me wonder if he was worried about how the Khabib fight would effect his value. A win against Khabib would blow his value up, so why negotiate a long term deal beforehand?
Rogan keeps spreading rumors on his podcast that mcgregor already pissed away the mayweather money.

From the same gym that Francis Ngannou came from before moving to Vegas, he looks way more skilled, he was a kickboxer first and got legit wins at HW

It's way too early to tell and he looks way too raw. If he has a strong ground game then hed aasteong contender of course.

I doubt hes pissed it away but the expenses and payout from the bus incident would have certainly lightened his pocket. Who knows how much he invested into this whiskey venture also very disappointed, 2 years ago he looked like he was going to have ufc over a barrel but hes just another fighter for hire. That will be put to pasture when he is no longer of value to them

Interesting. I can see this to a point, reality is McGregor all but told UFC at times he was done and now he just signed an 8 fight deal. That doesnt happen without there being some financial needs on McGregror's end I a sure.

Likely McGregor spent a lot of the Mayweather money, he's probably still wealthy beyond our wildest dreams but went from say a 9 digit net worth to 8. I could see McGregor spending $20 million since the fight easily. Private jets and entourages don't come cheap.

So McGregor was at a fork in the road, either sign a big deal with UFC to sustain his expenditures or dial his lifestyle back, and we can see the decision he made.

I bet he invested a significant amount of money into the whiskey, getting it on the canvas of every ufc fight isn’t cheap.

I don’t think he’s broke either but it’s strange not hearing him brag about starting his own promotion. He could of done it but it would of taken a lot of hard work and money

I thought the caveat of his new 6 fight deal was that his whiskey would be on the mat as a form of free advertising. Not that he paid the ufc a sponsorship fee to place it there..
